CODE OF ETHICS

Georgia Child Care Association

 This center supports, without reservation, the Code of Ethics of the
GEORGIA CHILD CARE ASSOCIATION

In fulfilling the responsibility to meet the total needs of the child, the child care provider
recognizes the total needs, dignity, and importance of the child; for now and the future,
and

SHALL provide a clean and esthetic environment while teaching the child the
importance of keeping tangible work or play items properly placed or organized,
and

SHALL provide each child with a degree of individual attention necessary to bring
about a "fun" atmosphere, and

SHALL make every effort to protect the child from conditions harmful to learning or to health and safety, and

SHALL conduct business in a professional manner to ensure that the child is not
exposed to unnecessary embarrassment or disparagement, and

SHALL keep information obtained in the course of professional service in total
confidence, unless disclosure serves professional purposes or is required by law,
and

SHALL not misrepresent the center with which he/she is affiliated, and shall take
adequate precautions to distinguish between his/her personal and institutional or
organizational views, and

SHALL display total conduct which tends to enhance the public confidence in the
ability and integrity of the Child Care Provider as a profession, and

SHALL at all times and in all situations demonstrate a top priority in keeping the
present and future well being of the child protected through professional actions
and love of the child.
