Jaime Rechkemmer
Georgia Child Care Association
Professional Bio
Jaime has been blessed with many wonderful experiences in her ECE career and feels fortunate to have been in the shoes of many of the early education rockstars that belong to GCCA. She has also had the privilege and fun of writing early childhood curriculum and children’s animation, providing training and professional development for early educators and administrators, designing classroom environments, and advocating for children and families to policy makers. Additionally, Jaime held executive roles that enabled her to develop a wide range of skills, including change management, conflict resolution, critical thinking, DEI&B, and situation awareness.
For the past 15 years, Jaime has grown and advanced early education and quality care for children at some of the largest childcare organizations in the country. She has also participated in several other state and national boards and advocacy organizations such as ECEC, NCLCCA, NAEYC, and NCPC. This multi-state and national participation gives her a unique perspective, and a depth and breadth of experience that helps her support the growth and development of ECE leaders all over the country
On a personal note, though a Carolina girl at heart with a side of Texas heat; she has Georgia on her mind :). Her immediate family includes mother (in Fort Mill, SC) and brother (recently retired from the US Army) as well as teenage niece Elizabeth James (EJ, living her best life in Germany). Jaime is EJ’s biggest fan. She is also a fan of the water (rain, lakes, oceans, etc.), Monster energy drinks, Bruno Mars, applesauce on tacos, and comic book movies. Jaime is not a fan of driving in parking lots, having to take care of plants, or choosing restaurants.
