2018 Early Language and Literacy Mini Grant Awards

The Early Language and Literacy Mini Grant Program, a joint effort between the Governor’s
Office of Student Achievement and the Sandra Dunagan Deal Center for Early Language and
Literacy at Georgia College, supports partnerships in projects targeting the language and literacy
development needs of children ages zero to eight. GCCA would like to recognize and CONGRATULATE the following members as award recipients. We look forward to all of the wonderful accomplishments ahead!

  • Jacob’s Ladder Educational Childcare Center awarded $59,994 for project Born to Read
  • Discovery Child Development Center #3 awarded $19,995.50 for project Early Language and Literacy
    Initiative
  • Little Ones Learning Center awarded $20,000 for project Hand, Heart, and Soul Project: Feed Me 1001 Words
  • Kangaroo Pouch Child Development Center awarded $45,060 for Washington County Early Language & Literacy Project (WELL)
