Child Care in Focus – Macon
Truist Community Room - Greater Macon Chamber of Commerce

Event Details
Child care is not a side issue—it is the workforce behind the workforce.
Join the Georgia Child Care Association (GCCA) and the Greater Macon Chamber of Commerce for Child Care in Focus, a targeted community forum designed to bridge the gap between early learning providers and the broader business community.
Across Georgia, the child care industry is facing unprecedented pressure from staffing shortages, rising costs, and high demand. These aren't just industry problems; they are economic challenges that impact every employer in Middle Georgia. When families cannot find or afford reliable care, the local workforce suffers.
This is not a lecture. It is a strategic conversation. This one-hour, in-person forum is designed to move beyond general discussion and focus on local realities. We are bringing together the people who power the economy—employers, educators, policymakers, and providers—to align on solutions.
Why You Should Attend:
-
Understand the Reality: Hear directly from licensed providers about the operational challenges (and opportunities) facing the industry right now.
-
Connect the Dots: See the direct link between child care stability and employee retention/recruitment in Macon.
-
Strengthen the System: Identify practical, local ways to support child care as critical economic infrastructure.
