Regulatory Review for After School Students

Resources,

The existing DECAL regulations have been written with young children in mind. This can prove problematic for centers when the after school population comes in to a center and they are often cited for age inappropriate citations. These occur typically with materials that are approved for use in elementary school, but could pose a threat for very young children.

GCCA asked DECAL to review the regulations to identify those that might not be appropriate. GREAT NEWS- DECAL has recently hired an after school specialist who will be doing exactly that!
She will be reviewing all the rules that may possibly need to be rewritten! GCCA will also be compiling a list to help. We look for your input and will be sending out a member survey!
